My journey and passion for understanding people began in my childhood while living overseas. Meeting individuals from diverse backgrounds and listening to their stories captivated me from a young age. However, life’s unpredictable nature meant that I only fully embraced this passion later in life. Throughout the years, unexpected challenges and changes forced me to slow down, be vulnerable, seek help, and deeply reflect on my own life. These experiences shaped me, teaching me resilience and empathy. Today, it is both a privilege and an honor to be a counselor. Walking alongside my clients as they navigate life’s twists and turns is deeply fulfilling, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support them on their journeys.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. We love being active and enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, going to the beach, camping, and exploring different parts of Michigan. I also love getting together with good friends, reading, working in my flower gardens, organizing, doing home improvement projects, and listening to a good Podcast.

My Approach

In my counseling practice, I prioritize connecting with each client on a deeply personal level, ensuring they feel understood and empowered as they embark on their journey of self-discovery and growth. For my younger clients, I use a play therapy approach that allows them to express themselves naturally and comfortably. Alongside person-centered therapy, I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches. Each method adds its own unique thread to the fabric of healing. Together, these approaches create a warm, supportive environment where each of my clients can feel at ease, embrace their authentic selves, and develop the tools they need to navigate life's twists and turns with grace and resilience.

What You Can Expect

You can expect a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where fun and openness are encouraged. My first priority is to build a trusting relationship by listening, showing empathy, and genuinely caring for your needs. I believe that trust is essential for opening up, being vulnerable, and making positive changes. Once we have established a strong therapeutic relationship, we will work together to create goals that are specific to you. There may be times when you feel challenged, uncomfortable, or unsure, but it is through these experiences that growth, healing, and freedom emerge. I am committed to walking alongside you, encouraging you, and supporting you as you navigate life.
