MA Counseling - Cornerstone University

My story has been filled with highs and lows. Through it all, I feel it has encouraged and motivated my desire to work alongside those who want direction and healing. Life can be unpredictable and difficult, at times, but can also be beautiful and redemptive. I am honored to enter into your story and help provide direction into the parts that do not make sense or that need support.

Watching movies, exploring with my husband and daughter, getting coffee with friends, and spending time with my family. We have three cats, two of which are the fluffiest cats you could ever meet. In my spare time I love singing, practicing yoga, and running. I am absolutely obsessed with The Lord of the Rings and Wonder Woman.

My Approach

My counseling approach has developed and grown a lot in my time as a therapist. I want to utilize an approach that best fits my clients however, my primary theoretical frameworks include: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, all through the trauma-informed lens. I am hoping to receive additional training to utilize Internal Family Systems in my practice.

What you can expect

It can definitely be intimidating to open up and share your story with someone you have not met before. When we work together, my number one priority is to create a safe space where you will be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. It is important to me that you feel safe and can trust me in with your life experiences and narrative. I believe we can work together to make change and bring healing in your life.
