My story has shown me the importance of support through the good times and the difficult ones, including the benefit of being able to work through things verbally with someone that I can trust. At times, just being able to bring words to our situation allows us to see it differently. My experiences have given me a heart to help others in the ways that many people were able to help me. I look forward to supporting you through your journey and working along side you through the twists and turns of life, to find hope and meaning in the hard times, and to recognize the joy and promise in the good ones.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our many pets. Having 3 teenagers keeps me busy, but in my free time I enjoy being outdoors whenever I can, running, hiking, riding my horses, and camping. When the weather is not the best, I like to find a quiet spot and read a book.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is person centered and strengths based, I believe that each person is the expert of their own experiences and I need to meet them where they are. I also believe that we all have strengths that we may not recognize that allow us to be resilient and give us the ability to overcome the struggles that we may come upon in life. I also believe in a solution focused approach which focuses on what you want to achieve through your experience in therapy. I believe that these approaches work together to help you work towards the future that you desire.

What you can expect

You can expect to be welcomed into a non-judgmental environment where you will be treated with dignity and respect. You can expect that I will do my best to create a safe environment for you to share your story. We will start by getting to know each other, building trust in a therapeutic relationship. Within that relationship we will work on identifying your goals, and interventions based off those goals and your desired outcomes.
