MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Liberty University (in progress)
I have learned what a gift it is to be able to sit with others in hard moments, to hear their stories, and walk with them in both the valleys and mountaintops. Everyone has their own seasons of growth, transition, and struggle, and I strive to meet each person where they are at in their unique story. My own experiences have shown me the value of connecting with others, and I aim to create a space where people can feel truly seen and heard.
I spend most of my downtime reading, and I am always searching for my next favorite book from just about any genre. I also play the cello to unwind, and I love games nights, traveling to new places, trying new foods, and spending time with my family.
My Approach
I focus on collaboration and connection through a person centered approach that views you as the expert of your life. My role is to come alongside you to help you identify strengths, set goals, and explore solutions that best fit your needs. I also believe in the importance of addressing each person individually and holistically, understanding that everyone is unique and the body, mind, and spirit all contribute to overall wellness. I also draw from a solution-focused approach to help you discover and increase your existing skills and resources. Our time together will give you space to reflect, problem solve, and share your story.
What You Can Expect
Our time together is about your story and journey, and you will set the pace and direction. You can expect a warm and open environment, where you can simply be yourself. My desire is to get to know you, to offer compassion and understanding, and sit in those hard moments with you. Our first sessions will be focused on getting to know each other as we build trust together. From there, I will walk with you as you explore and define your preferred outcomes and goals.
