Growing up overseas, and having experienced different cultures and lifestyles has taught me that each individual has a unique story and that each story is worth leaning into and understanding, so that we can each individually and collectively thrive!
I have had the wonderful opportunity of serving clients of many diverse populations as I have developed work and internship experience at CMH organizations, as well as counseling abroad. My experience includes working with minority populations, children with autism, LGBTQ+ adolescents, as well as family structures.
I am especially passionate about inter-generational trauma and walking alongside my clients as we learn how their community, society and family history affect their current mental health.
Life has taught me that we cannot write our stories of healing alone, and that sometimes asking for help with rewriting or protecting our stories, is the best thing we can do for ourselves and those around us. Whether you are here for immediate help, or to take preventative measures to improve/protect your mental health, I am humbled to work with you and to help create a space for you that is welcoming and safe, and one where you feel valued, heard, and seen.
When I'm not in the office with clients, I love spending time with my family which consists of my husband, 9 month old daughter, and our giant dog Halo. I also enjoy travelling, writing, playing video games, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
My Approach
I use a plethora of approaches such as narrative therapy, solution-focused approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques among other approaches. I strongly believe that my approach should be based on what my client needs most, and I am committed to continue learning, researching and growing in ways in can help you best!
What you can expect
Seeking out counseling can be hard and I applaud you for making it this far! When you enter my office, you can expect a teammate who will encourage you, value you, and advocate for you. We will work together to help you create and meet your goals. Counseling can be both life-giving, hard, yet fun at the same time, and I will strive to make this an experience that will truly become a positive part of your story.
