MSW - Grand Valley State University (In Progress)
Growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I quickly noticed a drastic need for mental health services amongst my community. This inspired me to pursue education in the field of social work in hopes of helping others through their struggles in life.
When I'm not working, I enjoy playing and listening to music, walking my dog on our favorite trails, being by the water (preferably at my cabin in the Upper Peninsula), going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
My Approach
As an intern, I am still discovering my approach to therapy, however, I believe it should be an individualized approach. I use a person-centered approach to ensure that therapy fits your unique needs and story.
What You Can Expect
You can expect a safe environment to work together on whatever struggles you may be experiencing. At first, we will spend time just getting to know each other. We will then work on developing goals for your therapeutic experience. As your therapist and with your permission, I may offer insight or strategies to implement into your life, but I am mainly here to listen to your story and support you on your therapeutic journey.
