Growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I quickly noticed a drastic need for mental health services amongst my community. This inspired me to pursue social work education, in the hopes to walk alongside others through their life struggles. My goal is for therapy to be a healing experience centered around your specific needs, tailored to whatever season of life you may currently be in.

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing and listening to music, walking my dog on our favorite trails, being by the water (preferably at my cabin in the Upper Peninsula), going to concerts, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.

My Approach

As humans, we all experience our lives uniquely. This is why my approach to therapy is person-centered which means I strive to uniquely tailor each session to your individual needs and goals. At times, I may use a variety of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), or Narrative Therapy. I aim for our time together in counseling to be personalized to your specific story and a beneficial tool in overcoming the hardships life can throw at us.

What You Can Expect

You can expect a safe environment to work together on whatever struggles you may be experiencing. At first, we will spend time just getting to know each other. We will then work on developing goals for your therapeutic experience. As your therapist and with your permission, I may offer insight or strategies to implement into your life, but I am mainly here to listen to your story and support you on your therapeutic journey.
