My interest in understanding emotions began early and has continued to shape my path into the field of social work. Over time, I’ve come to recognize that emotions can feel overwhelming, difficult to understand, and hard to put into words. I believe these experiences are a natural part of being human, and that all emotions are meaningful and worthy of attention. This perspective has guided my commitment to helping others better understand their feelings, develop healthy ways to cope, and express themselves more clearly. I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work, with the goal of providing compassionate, client-centered support that fosters growth and self-understanding.
When I'm not working, I enjoy experimenting with new baking recipes, hanging out with my friends, working out, or diving into my next crafty project. I simply adore being outside, and you can typically find me reading a good book in my hammock or walking the trails looking for birds and little critters. I also love to throw on my roller skates and take a skate around town!
My Approach
As a counseling intern, I recognize that I am continually learning and growing as I find my footing in the counseling world! I take a holistic approach to therapy, helping individuals understand themselves as interconnected systems of mind, body, and emotions rather than focusing solely on symptoms. I believe each person is unique and shaped by a variety of life experiences and influences. In my work, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based perspectives, and mindfulness-based practices to support healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
What You Can Expect
Coming into my office, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where I take time to understand who you are and what brings you in. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. I know how intimidating therapy can be, but seeking help is a courageous and meaningful first step. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to foster growth, deepen self-understanding, and support lasting, meaningful change that feels authentic and fulfilling.
