MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling- Purdue University Fort Wayne
Life brings both uplifting moments and seasons that feel undeniably heavy. Plans shift, relationships change, and dreams evolve, often leaving us navigating grief, disappointment, or uncertainty. These experiences can be painful-and facing them without support can feel even more challenging. My own story has reinforced my commitment to continual healing and has shaped my passion for helping others do the same. I believe growth is possible at every stage of life, and I value the opportunity to understand each client's unique experiences and perspectives.
I am committed to walking alongside individuals who are ready to reflect on where they've been and explore the possibilities ahead. Together, we can make sense of the pieces of your story and begin shaping a chapter that feels grounded, hopeful, and aligned with who you are becoming.
When I'm not with clients, you can usually find me walking my dog, hunting for a good cup of coffee, spending time with friends and family, or unwinding with painting, drawing, and yoga.
My Approach:
My approach as a counselor is centered on creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as you navigate life's challenges. I walk with you, offering guidance, practical strategies, and gentle encouragement as you explore new perspectives and consider possibilities for change. Together, we'll work on steps you can take between sessions-through goal setting, reflection, and exercises-to bring what we explore in therapy into your daily life.
I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Gestalt techniques, cognitive reframing, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies. Together, we'll explore what feels most helpful and support your journey toward growth, healing, and a life that feels authentically yours.
What you can expect:
I believe that a trusting, collaborative relationship is at the heart of meaningful growth. As a client-centered therapist, you are in the driver's seat, and my role is to offer support, guidance, and tools to help you navigate life's challenges and move toward the changes you want to see.Therapy can bring up a range of emotions, and the process can feel challenging at times-but you don't have to face it alone. It's an honor to walk alongside you as you explore your story, face challenges, and take steps toward hope, healing, and a future that feels truly your own.
