MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling – Spring Arbor University

Life can be tough. Sometimes all we need is some support. A safe place to lay out our thoughts, feelings, and options to move forward confidently. I have found myself in those tough places where I needed support from friends or family and a therapist. We need different types of support at different times; life shifts often, sometimes quickly. Asking for help can be scary, but I often find myself grateful I took the leap and reached out. My personal story of navigating hard times allows me to empathize with and show compassion for others in their own. I am eager to listen to your woven story and to explore how we can come together to reach your goals.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing all types of sports, basketball, golf, tennis, lifting weights, etc. I love listening to music, hanging out with friends, watching movies with my dog, and driving around Grand Rapids!

My Approach

My approach includes components of cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. This will look like exploring your thoughts and feelings about the world. We will collaborate together to find practical solutions and a path forward that aligns with your goals.

What You Can Expect

I place a high value on safety, patience, and collaboration. Sharing your story can be exciting at times and very intimidating at others. It is my hope and desire that you feel safe to share your thoughts and feelings as we work to reach your goals. I am excited to work alongside you, hear your story, and offer support and encouragement throughout the process.
