MA in Counseling - Spring Arbor University
My story has had a lot of twists and turns that I didn't expect or plan. I found healing when I shared my story with others. This has inspired me to offer a safe space for clients to feel seen, known, and loved. I believe that as humans, hope drives us. Hopelessness can lead us to lonely places. If you find yourself in a challenging space , it can be helpful to have someone to help you navigate the rocky road. I'll provide a safe place to land as you share your story and together we can help you journey toward hope and healing.
When I am not working, I enjoy being outside in my yard with family and friends. I love biking and hiking. You may find me reading (or listening to audiobooks/podcasts). Quality time with family and friends fills my cup and I'm always looking forward to my next travel adventure.
My Approach
Counseling sessions are unique to each individual. I like to incorporate Adlerian Theory into our sessions. Through warmth and collaboration, this approach allows us to understand the roles you play within your family, some of your earliest recollections, and lifestyle convictions. During this process, we will discover your goals and find solutions that work for you. I also like to approach therapy through a holistic lens, considering the whole being - mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness techniques.
What You Can Expect
You can expect a collaborative relationship in a safe and warm environment. Through the sharing of your story, I will work with you to assess and provide insight as you journey toward awareness, growth, and change.
