My story in life has taught me that things can change in the blink of an eye. Challenges can come at you quickly and without warning, and asking for help is oftentimes easier said than done. I understand that taking that first step into therapy can be scary. Whatever life throws at you, I have learned that you do not have to be alone through it, and that a little bit of help can mean a world of a difference.
When I am not working, I enjoy crocheting, drawing, taking care of my plants (especially my carnivorous plants!), traveling, and spending time with my friends!
My Approach
I am a very strong advocate in the idea that you are the premier expert of your life. My approach is person-centered, so I am here to support you and help offer guidance with whatever it is that you want to discuss. I use evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as a framework to help process difficult emotions and uncomfortable feelings that you may be dealing with.
What You Can Expect
You can expect me to take the time to get to know you and learn about what is important to you and what you value so that I can better help you during our time together. I want you to feel safe in the space that we meet and that you feel understood when discussing topics with me. You can also expect that during our time together we will find achievable goals to work towards collaboratively and then strategizing how to achieve said goals. I want you to feel more confident and empowered from our time together!
