My story has inspired me to lean in and make space for those who are struggling. It's my honor to come along side you and hold space for your story as we walk together seeking healing, freedom, and peace. As the Lord loves and guides me, so we are tasked with loving others (Matthew 22:37-38).
When I'm not working, I enjoy riding horses, going on long walks, reading, and spending time with my family. I especially enjoy lake life during Michigan summers!
My Approach
My approach to counseling is unique in that it offers an eclectic perspective for married couples and individuals, grounded in solid psychotherapy theory and practice. I understand people and relationships from a Biblical framework set within a Christian story. My counseling approach is fueled by a few main psychotherapy models: Attachment, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Early sessions tend to focus on getting to know your story and building a strong therapeutic relationship. The work to a changed life begins in later sessions as you seek to understand and challenge yourself.
What you can expect
Counseling is unique to each individual and each couple. You can expect a safe and soothing environment as we explore and unpack the difficulties in your story. As you strive to be the best version of yourself, I will encourage your growth, healing, and balance by providing the tools and resources you need.
