My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal-rooted in my own journey through identity, healing, and self-discovery. As a queer, trans person, I know firsthand what it's like to navigate systems that weren't built with us in mind, and to seek spaces where you can just be you without apology. I've walked through questions around gender, mental health, faith, and belonging-and those experiences shaped not just who I am, but how I show up in this work. I became a therapist because I wanted to be the kind of support I once needed: someone who listens with compassion, holds space without judgment, and believes deeply in your ability to heal and grow.

When I'm not working, I enjoy going for runs outside, walking my dogs, and spending time with my husband. I love traveling and finding the fun "hole in the wall" places others tend to overlook.

My Approach

I want to take the time to get to know you and what brings you to Second Story. Everyone's past and future goals create who they are today. I take the time to get to know what your goals are for personal success to help get you there. I like to use different approaches for each person I work with, as no person is the same. As a Christian, I also enjoy using a faith based approach when requested.

My hope is you will be brave in being open to new approaches, patient in the time you take for counseling, and daring to have hope and healing in your future.

What You Can Expect

You can expect to come into an environment where you feel safe, heard and cared for. Your story is important and unique. I want to collaborate by helping to give you the tools to help you succeed in personal growth, by walking alongside you. You are not alone.
