MSW - Grand Valley State University

My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal-rooted in my own journey through identity, healing, and self-discovery. As a queer, trans person, I know firsthand what it's like to navigate systems that weren't built with us in mind, and to seek spaces where you can just be you without apology. I've walked through questions around gender, mental health, faith, and belonging-and those experiences shaped not just who I am, but how I show up in this work. I became a therapist because I wanted to be the kind of support I once needed: someone who listens with compassion, holds space without judgment, and believes deeply in your ability to heal and grow.

When I’m not working, I enjoy taking care of my two very spoiled dogs, Frank and Beans, who keep life entertaining and full of cuddles. I love diving into video games and board games—anything that lets me unwind and connect with friends. Gardening is one of my favorite ways to slow down and recharge, and I'm always picking up new hobbies just for the fun of it (even if they don’t always stick!). Whether it’s painting, baking, or learning a random new skill, I’m all about finding joy in the little things and staying curious.

My Approach

My approach is laid-back, affirming, and collaborative. I use evidence-based practices like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to support you in healing from trauma, building resilience, and connecting more deeply with your authentic self. Whether you’re facing anxiety, identity questions, family struggles, or just feeling stuck—I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and real talk.

What You Can Expect

When you work with me, you can expect a space that’s affirming, nonjudgmental, and centered around you. I bring a relaxed, chill vibe to our sessions—nothing overly clinical or intimidating—because I believe therapy should feel like a safe and comfortable place to just be yourself. Whether we’re unpacking heavy feelings or just figuring out how to get through the week, I’ll meet you where you’re at with warmth, honesty, and zero pressure. I prioritize collaboration, consent, and authenticity, and I’ll always respect your pace. We'll work together to explore your story, build on your strengths, and develop tools that actually feel useful in your real life. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having support while you figure out what healing looks like for you.
