MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Central Michigan University (in progress)
I am training as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have 2 years of experience as a mental health tech in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. My experience includes working with adults with various mental illnesses who are actively in crisis. Being able to walk with people through the heaviness and the chaos that life can be is an incredible honor.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée and our two cats. I love watching sports, and I have recently begun my journey into weightlifting. Listening to and discovering new music is food for the soul, and I greatly enjoy it.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express your own thoughts and feelings openly. I will offer authenticity, empathy, and support as you share your story, regardless of what your story may be. You deserve to have your feelings and emotions be felt, heard, and understood in the process of healing and recovery.
What You Can Expect
Walking into our sessions, you can expect an atmosphere that is willing to go wherever you need to take it. Through the heavy emotions, the lighter emotions, and everything in between, I will be here to provide the space for those emotions to be felt. You can expect someone who is open to feedback. If what we are doing does not seem to be working, I am willing to adjust based on your needs and what is currently best for you.
