“Life can be tricky, there isn't a doubt. You’ll skin your knees trying to figure it out. But life works together, the good and the bad, the silly and awful, and happy and sad, to paint a big picture we can't always see…a picture that needs you most definitely.” - Nancy Tillman
Having had seasons in my life of good and bad, silly and awful, and happy and sad, I have been motivated to find meaning and hope in the bigger picture. Life has so many different seasons, it is a privilege to sit with you as you share your story and find meaning and hope.
Outside of the office you’ll find me with my husband, three children, two dogs, and nine chickens. I love trying new recipes, reading a good book I can get lost in, and spending time outside.
My Approach
As each individual and couple are unique, I use a wide variety of approaches to best meet the needs of each client. I believe that each session is your time and am ready to meet you where you are at each session. I operate from an eclectic framework of counseling interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and reality therapy. I have training in the Gottman method and utilize this approach when working with couples.
What you can expect
Beginning counseling can be a difficult step to take. My goal is to provide a safe, warm, and inviting environment where you feel comfortable and welcome to share your story. We will spend time getting to know one another and building a trusting relationship so that we can successfully work together to meet your goals.
