MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Wheaton College

Everyone has their own unique story that deserves to be heard. Each person can experience moments of laughter, joy, and gratitude, but there can also be moments of tears, grief, despair, or brokenness. These difficult seasons can be hard to face alone. As others have walked alongside me, it is a privilege to walk with others and empower them to recognize their strengths as they pursue hope and healing.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love being outside and going for walks, hiking, kayaking, or playing tennis or pickleball. Recently, I have been exploring new coffee shops and restaurants in hopes of finding the best places in town. When it is time to relax, I like watching movies or curling up with a book.

My Approach

My approach to counseling is Person-Centered and Strengths-based. Each individual has their own unique gifts and abilities that will be highlighted in the counseling space while fostering safety, trust, and growth. I also utilize theories such as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to meet each person where they are at and find the best care for their needs. When working with children, I enjoy using Child-Centered Play Therapy approach and various sand tray techniques to allow children to use their primary language of play to process difficult emotions and behaviors.

My goal is to provide you with a safe, secure, and welcoming environment so that we can establish a relationship and foster trust and understanding. As you share your story, my aim is that you feel heard and respected. When we work together, I will support you to reach your goals and encourage your overall well-being.
