MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Cornerstone University (In Progress)
Life is undoubtedly challenging, messy, and confusing at times. Learning how to cope and weather the storms of life can be scary, especially if you feel you are alone in the process. One of my favorite authors, Jon Kabat-Zinn, calls this the, "Full catastrophe of living." We cannot escape the mess, but we can learn to cope in more effective ways, embracing the beauty and joy of the unknown, and learn to live more fully in the present moment we find ourselves in. My hope is to partner with my clients toward discovering the path that leads them to thriving, and navigating the challenges they face, both internally and externally with confidence and self expertise. There is hope!
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my husband, twin toddlers and golden retriever exploring our community and local parks. I enjoy exercising, trying new recipes, and reading in my spare time, and practicing mindfulness meditation.
My Approach
My approach to the counseling relationship will be collaborative and client centered. Identifying the goals that are important to you, exploring your values and providing a non judgmental space for you to explore the challenges you are facing and identify your goals for our time together.
